Honolulu District Science and Engineering Fair 2017

On Saturday, February 11th, 29 of our students participated in the Honolulu District Science and Engineering Fair held at Kapiolani Community College. Our students represented our school with projects in:
  •  Behavioral and Social Science:  "Picmotion", "You've Got  Minute to Win It" and "Decoding Scrambled Messages"
  • Chemistry:  "Iodine in Water"
  • Earth and Environmental Science: "The Heat Absorption of Colors",  "Rainbow Water Purification" and "The Next Household Water Purifier...Fruits"
  • Embedded Systems:  "Different Materials Affecting Internet Megabytes"
  • Energy (Physical): "Can You Handle the Shock?" and "Solar Oven"
  • Engineering Mechanics: "Saucy Shaker"
  • Environmental Engineering:  "Waste Revolution", "Slippery Slope" and "Trash Collector"
  • Materials Science: "Safety First"
  • Microbiology: "Germs vs. Disinfectants"
  • Physics and Astronomy: "Hydraulic Crane"
  • Plant Sciences:  "H2O-nics 2.0"
