On Saturday, February 11th, 29 of our students participated in the Honolulu District Science and Engineering Fair held at Kapiolani Community College. Our students represented our school with projects in:
- Behavioral and Social Science: "Picmotion", "You've Got Minute to Win It" and "Decoding Scrambled Messages"
- Chemistry: "Iodine in Water"
- Earth and Environmental Science: "The Heat Absorption of Colors", "Rainbow Water Purification" and "The Next Household Water Purifier...Fruits"
- Embedded Systems: "Different Materials Affecting Internet Megabytes"
- Energy (Physical): "Can You Handle the Shock?" and "Solar Oven"
- Engineering Mechanics: "Saucy Shaker"
- Environmental Engineering: "Waste Revolution", "Slippery Slope" and "Trash Collector"
- Materials Science: "Safety First"
- Microbiology: "Germs vs. Disinfectants"
- Physics and Astronomy: "Hydraulic Crane"
- Plant Sciences: "H2O-nics 2.0"
- 8th Graders: Mary Reyes, Nicole Castro and Florie Primero on their project "The Heat Absorption of Colors"
- 8th Grader: Chelsea Tajon with her project "Decoding Scrambled Messages"
- 7th Grader: Laiza Cabote with her project "H20-nics 2.0"
