The Science Department is inviting all students, parents and community members to attend our 8th Annual Kalakaua Science Fair.
Science fair projects will be on display for judging in the library and cafeteria afterschool on:
Tuesday - January 10, LIBRARY - 2:15 - 3:00 PM
Wednesday - January 11, CAFETERIA - 1:30 - 2:15PM
Thursday - January 12, LIBRARY - 2:15 - 3:00 PM
The science projects will show the use of the scientific method to solve a problem, critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, and effectively communicate ideas through a project display board. Projects that place at the Kalakaua Middle School Science Fair will be judged for a second time on Thursday - January 17 by the science department teachers. If the projects make it through that second adjudication process, the students will be invited to present their projects at the Honolulu District Science Fair at Kapiolani Community College on Saturday - February 11, 2012. Science projects that place at the Honolulu District Science Fair will advance to the State Science & Engineering Fair in April! Please come and support our students while they present their projects to the judges!
