After School Academic Assistance Homework Assistance Center:
Open to all interested students 2:30 - 4:00 P.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the School Cafetorium.
SPED Homework Assistance Center in R202:
Open to all students receiving SPED services 2:15-3:15 P.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Homework assistance and instruction needed for math skills development.
Math Navigator Classes:
Open to 6th graders identified as needing additional help with basic math skills. 2:15-3:15 P.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two classes, on Mondays and Tuesdays for one class.
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) Tutoring:
Open to all non-proficient students in the free or reduced lunch program who sign up for tutoring with one of the State recognized private service providers. For more information call the SES Coordinator, Lisa Fonseca, at 832-3130 ext. 245.
After School Art and Music for-Credit Classes:
Ceramic class: 2:15-3:45 P.M. Thursdays and Fridays in L104
Craft class: 2:30-3:45 P.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in K102
Chorus class: 2:30-4:00 P.M. on Mondays and Fridays in U101
Beg./Inter. Band: 2:30-4:00 P.M. on Mondays and Fridays in U102
After School Tutoring:
This is a general tutoring session held in the Cafeteria after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week from 2:30 - 3:30 P.M. The students have adult supervisors and tutors working with them in a safe environment where they can study, catch-up on classroom assignments, or do past due assignments to assure their success here at Kalakaua Middle School.
