Unfortunately, Mr. Tony passed away on Sunday, May 17th as a result of the injuries he sustained on May 3rd. Our sincere condolences and expressions of sympathy go out to the Corpuz family.

On Sunday May 3rd, Mr. Tony who is a room cleaner at Kalakaua Middle School was assaulted at 4:30 in the morning near Kapalama Canal. He was gathering cans to recycle so he could earn some money to help support his family. He was severely injured in the assault and taken to Queen’s Hospital. He is currently in a coma and on life support in the ICU at Queen’s.
Mr. Tony and his family have been working at our school and have supported us for many years. Thank you for your monetary donations to help offset medical costs for Tony and his family. We thank you for your kind thoughts and well wishes.
